(IID Board meets Tuesday)....This week they will be meeting in La Quinta.

The public meeting begins at 1 pm. The Board will be asked to adopt a resolution in remembrance of Director Rodolfo Rudy Maldonado. Rudy Maldonado passed away earlier this month. He began his career with the Imperial Irrigation District in the Power Department as a Mechanic Generation and Turbine operator. He later moved to the Water Department as a Hydro Operator. IID Director Maldonado was first elected in 1998 and went on to serve a second term, as well. He was part of the historic decision to participate in the 2003 Quantification Settlement Agreement, which resulted in the nation's largest agriculture to urban water transfer between the IID and the San Diego County Water Authority.
