(Imperial Valley's 12th Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Celebration)...It was held Friday at the Old Eucalyptus Schoolhouse.

The annual event celebrates the people and organizations who make the Imperial Valley a great place to live. The event host is the Imperial Valley Community Foundation. This year's Keynote speaker was Jazz Ledbetter, founder of Harlot Heart. The Lifetime Achievement award went to Tom Topuzes. The Philanthropists of the Year were Jim and Nancie Rhodes. The Volunteer of the Year award went to Simon Canalez. The Philanthropic Corporation of the Year was the Sun Community Federal Credit Union. The Special Nonprofit Achievement award went to the Humane Society of Imperial County.
