Two Imperial Valley residents recently graduated from the California Highway Patrol Academy.

Jacob M. Perez of Brawley, a 2020 Brawley Union High School graduate, will be assigned to the CHP's Marin Area office. Perez earned an Associate of Science degree in administration of justice from Imperial Valley College and worked at Walmart prior to going to the CHP Academy.

David Perez Ortiz of Calexico has been assigned to the CHP's Contra Costa Area Office. Ortiz graduated from Calexico High School in 2018 and earned an Associate of Arts degree in public administration from Imperial Valley College.
