(House Fire earlier this week)...The fire was reported at a house on West Barbara.

Calipatria Fire responded to the call. County Fire from the Niland Station assisted. The fire was knocked down within 30 minutes, but not before it caused significant damage. The single occupant of the house was displaced, and was assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries were reported and crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring structures. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
