A tractor reported stolen on Monday was recovered on Tuesday.

According to the Imperial County Sheriff's Office, a 2022 John Deere 5075M tractor belonging to Paul Cameron Ranches was taken from the area of Lydick Loop just north of Imperial. Initial witness statements indicated that the tractor may have been taken by a transient that was seen in the area on Saturday evening. ICSO deputies distributed flyers with information on the theft and in response from the public led to the discovery of the stolen tractor, stuck in mud, along Carey Road, west of Dogwood Road. The tractor was returned to the owner.
