Central Union High School District (CUHSD) students got information on voter registration Tuesday.

The school district, in collaboration with the Imperial Valley Social Justice Committee, recognized National Voter Registration Day by visiting students on the high school campuses during lunch time.  The visits provided outreach and support to future voters. Students were informed about pre-registration to voting at the age of 16. Pre-registering at 16 or 17 means their registration will become effective when they turn 18 years of age. Students were also told about the opportunity to volunteer with the Imperial County Registrar of Voters as Poll Watchers. The Southwest, Central and Desert Oasis campuses were involved.
