More than 2 tons of methamphetamine was found in a truck full of watermelons.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Otay Mesa Commercial Facility found 1,220 packages wrapped in paper, disguised as watermelons, in the shipment manifested as watermelons. According to the CBP, a 29-year-old man driving a commercial tractor-trailer, entered the port with the truckload of melons. The driver and vehicle were referred to secondary inspection where the drugs were discovered. The meth weighed nearly 4,600 pounds and has a street value estimated at over $5 million.
