(Officials say have a fun 4th of July).....But they emphasize, have safe fun. Fireworks are legal in many communities, but only Safe and Sane Fireworks.

They are being sold at stands set up thru-out the county. No fireworks are legal in the County unincorporated areas. Illegal fireworks are not only dangerous, but they can be expensive, as well. In El Centro fines can be as high as $5,000. In Brawley up to $1,000. Both Brawley and El Centro Police will be deploying drones on the 4th to identify and address illegal firework activity.
