It is to strengthen electric reliability for Coachella Valley Customers. Transformer replacements will support proactive infrastructure planning and long-term service for the customers. The district says replacing aging transformers in the Coachella Valley strengthens electric reliability, reduces the risk of equipment failure causing power outages and prepares the system to meet customer's growing energy needs.
