The excessively hot temperatures are taking a toll. The County Public Health Department says the excessive heat has resulted in 210 heat related illnesses, mostly heat exhaustion and heat stroke. There have been 4 deaths connected to the hot weather. The Health Department reminds resident to stay hydrated, drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Avoid sugary or alcoholic beverages. Limit out door activity. Restrict high exertion outdoor activities. Seek air conditioned areas during the hottest portion of the day. If you feel ill, seek medical attention.
