They are getting ready to appoint their most important position. They are taking application for the position of Executive Officer. Applications are due on August 8th. The Conservancy executive officer will play crucial role in shaping the creation of the Salton Sea Conservancy. The State's newest Conservancy in over a decade was formed to successfully implement the operation and maintenance of completed habitat restoration and dust suppression projects at the Salton Sea. At the direction of the Conservancy's Board of Directors, the Executive Officer will spearhead the long-term stewardship of State projects that are bringing plants, water that enhances habitat, and wildlife back to the Salton Sea.
