(Residential Fire reported Thursday Evening)...Yuma Fire received the report at 5:32 pm.

The fire was reported in the 1400 block of South 11th Avenue Initial reports are that the residents were using a barbeque when they heard an explosion involving a propane tank. All the residents were able to evacuate the home before firefighters arrived.. Crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the house.. Firefighters were able to quick extinguish the fire, keeping it from spreading to neighboring houses. Firefighters also identified a downed power line and secured the area until it could be safely addressed. The home received sustained significant damage and was determined to be uninhabitable. The family called the Red Cross for assistance. No injuries were reported in the incident. The official cause of the fire remains under investigation.
