(State Attorney General Says Calexico is going to be sued)....But, they are not the only ones.

Attorney General Rob Bonta says all the cities and counties in California not complying with the state's Housing Element are being sued. Calexico is among 5 who are not in compliance. Every city and county in California must update their housing plan every 8 years to meet its Regional Housing Needs Allocation. Calexico is years behind the deadline. The lawsuit asks the court to implement a 120-day extension for the non-compliant entities to bring the housing element up to date. The City of Calexico says they are currently working on their plan.
