A federal roundtable with U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) representatives and state and local representatives to discuss solutions to the New River crisis.

The meeting will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 and is expected to include a site tour of the New River. The roundtable follows meetings with Congressman Raul Ruiz meeting with EPA Administrator Lee Zelda at a House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Environment on the EPA's budget request. While local stakeholders have been invited to the roundtable meeting and tour it was stressed that the MEDIA are not invited.
