(Additional information released on El Centro incident)....The incident occurred on May 3rd. Police were called to the 200 block of South 2nd Street.

They found an adult male with visible injuries. The victim told police he had been assaulted and robbed by multiple suspects. El Centro PD investigations identified 3 suspects involved. They arrested 23-year-old Emanuel Contreras, 23-year-old Ernest Martinez and 25-year-old Elijah Roberts. They were booked into County jail for robbery and other related charges. Imperial County Sheriff's Deputies later arrested Contreras for a separate incident The County arrested the El Centro resident for murder, conspiracy to commit a crime and obstructing a public officer. Contreras faces a $3 million bail for the county charge, and $150,000 for the El Centro incident.
