There are two more meetings to look at what's happening to restore California's largest lake. You can learn about the Salton Sea Program at a community meeting in the Mecca Community Center Wednesday, May 6, 2026, and Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Grace Smith Elementary School in Niland. Hear about plans to stop the dust and create habitat for fish and birds. The meetings start at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to ask questions and share feedback.
