An El Centro Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle Friday night after noticing multiple vehicle code violations.

The driver didn't pul over immediately but continued driving until they arrived at their residence. El Centro Police requested help from an Imperial County Sheriff's Office K-9 team. The dog alerted to the vehicle, indicating the presence of narcotics. A search of the car found over 42 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and narcotics paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and booked at Imperial County Jail on a variety of charges.
