A 26-year-old male Mexican Citizen was driving the rig. After the initial inspection, the rig was referred to a more detailed inspection. In the secondary inspection area CBP Officers used non-intrusive inspection technology to screen the entire vehicle. They opened a fuel tank and inserted a probe. They discovered a gel like substance mixed with the fuel. The liquid tested positive for methamphetamine. In all, 944 pounds of liquid meth was removed from the tank. The driver was arrested and turned over to the Homeland Security Department. CBP seized the vehicle and the narcotics.
