(Suspects in the February 8th homicide)..On February 8th Brawley Police were called to the 1600 block of I Street.

A person had been shot. The 43-year-old victim was transported to the hospital but died from the wounds. Police arrested one suspect, Genero Lemus on February 13. He was booked into county jail with bail set at $1 million. This week a second suspect was taken into custody. Nathan Matthew Garnica of Brawley was found in Prescott, Arizona. The Prescott Police Detective Unit and US Marshalls Service made the arrest. Garnica was jailed in Arizona to await extradition. The investigation is continuing.
