(El Centro City Council)....They met Tuesday.

At the meeting the council approved an agreement with Burke, Williams and Sorenson, LLP. The firm will provide the city with legal counsel. Joanna Smith Hoff will handle the city legal issues. Also at the meeting the Council discussed a list of 2026 street improvements. It is mostly a street overlay projects. The list was developed by the El Centro Public Works and Engineering divisions. By handling the plans internally, the city saves on administration costs, allowing more ax dollars to be funneled directly into pavement. The list also prioitizes streets for rehabilitation.
