(El Centro City Council met this week)....One of the items on their agenda was Phase 2 of the Veteran's Memorial Wall in Bucklin Park.

The project not only expands the existing wall but also includes the demolition and reconstruction of a failing wall near the pond. It also includes grading, drainage improvements, new hardscaping, landscaping and upgraded electrical and lighting system. The total cost is estimated at around $690,000. The council voted unanimously to authorize the Community Services Department to release the bid documents for the project.
