The second Free Fishing Day of this year is Saturday.

Every year the California Department of Fish and Wildlife offers two free fishing days. This year, the second day is Saturday, August 30th. On this day residents and non-residents can fish in California without needing a sport fishing license. However, all other fishing laws and regulations, including bag limits, gear restrictions and report card requirements, still apply.
