(Calexico City Council names a new Interim City Manager).....The Council held a special meeting following the departure of Rick Daniels.

Daniels wrapped up a three month contract as Interim City Manager on Monday. During the Tuesday meting the Calexico City Council decided to appoint the Police Chief Armando Orozco to serve as the new Interim City Manager. He will be the third interim city manager for Calexico since the last full-time city manager, Esperanza Colio Warren left the position on June 7, 2024. The Council gave no indication of a time-table to fill the City Manager position permanently,
