A traffic stop Tuesday night led to the discovery of fentanyl.

El Centro Police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. During the investigation, officers requested a K-9 team for a narcotic sniff. The dog alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search led to the discovery of a small container and a baggie of fentanyl. The drugs weighed approximately 94 grams. The suspect was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail for suspected drug sales.
