A traffic stop in El Centro led to the discovery of a significant amount of drugs.

On Tuesday evening, El Centro Police night shift officers made a traffic stop on a truck for a vehicle code violation. Officers requested assistance from K-9 Jax, the departments drug sniffing dog, and found approximately 2 kilos of cocaine in the pickup. The drugs have an estimated street value of $26,000. The driver was placed under arrest.
