the American Public Power Association's Legislative and Resolutions Committee adopted a resolution sponsored by the Imperial Irrigation District urging Congress to prioritize federal investments into the nation's power grid. The resolution highlights the essential role of public power utilities who deliver reliable and affordable power to over 54 million people in over 2,000 towns and cities nationwide. IID Director Alex Cardenas said in his presentation, the resolution sends a clear message to the leaders in congress that APPA supports efforts that prioritize continued investments into the power grid that are necessary for them to continue keeping the lights on, from the West coast to the East coast and everywhere in between.
