The Imperial County Transportation Commission, ICTC) has been awarded $12.6 million.

The state funds are to be used to design and construct a new intermodal transportation center in Calexico. The plan calls for the transportation center to serve the Calexico East port of Entry. The funds will also cover the purchase of 4 electric zero-emission vans to expand public transport to the new facility. The funds for the Calexico project are part of $1.3 billion  in awards to 27 projects statewide announced recently. The money is from the Transit and Intercity Rail Capitol Program.
