(Above normal temperatures' return Thursday)....Excessive heat is expected Friday and continuing into next week.

The County Public Health Department says the excessive temperatures' could cause health problems. They recommend residents know where the Cool Centers and Hydration Centers are located before traveling out doors. Go to the Health Department's website for a list of Cool Centers and Hydration Stations. They also recommend you protect yourself from the extreme heat. Wear light colored, loose fitting clothes. Drink a variety of fluids, including water, fruit juice and sports drinks. Check on neighbors, especially seniors, children and neighbors who live alone. Keep physical activities to a minimum during the hottest part of the day, Stay indoors and out of the sun during the hottest part of the day. Use fans as appropriate. Use cool showers, baths, misting and wash cloths, and avoid hot foods ad heavy meals.
