(Two minor earthquakes)... They were both recorded Friday morning.

The US Geological Survey says both were recorded in the same basic area, about 5.8 miles south southwest of Borrego Springs. The USGS recorded the first quake at 6:45 Friday morning measuring 3.5. The second quake was recorded at just after 8:00 am measuring 3.0. Both temblors are considered mior. No damage or injury has been reported from either event The USGS says there have been a few earthquakes recorded in that area in the past month.
