(County asking for public assistance)...They are caring for 8 displaced families.

The families were displaced in the November fire in Desert Shores. A Man and his two children died in that fire. The county is caring for the families in the hopes of preventing homelessness. they are providing temporary housing to the affected families by placing them in travel trailers. The Department of Social Services, through the Continuum of Care, continues to assess the needs of these families to potentially identify long-term housing options and solutions. The county is accepting donations of almost everything, from bed sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, dinnerware, personal hygiene items, etc. For more information contact Esperasnza Colio at This email address is being protected from spambots.
