That is the latest report available. It was released Friday morning by the Labor Market Information Division of the Employment Development Department. According to the report, July unemployment for Imperial County was 18.9 percent. That is up from the revised 17.8 percent in June, but below the year ago estimate of 27.5 percent. This compares to the unadjusted unemployment rate of 7.9 percent for the state and 5.7 percent for the nation during the same period. According to the July report, 12,800 eligible workers were unemployed out of a Labor Force of 68,000. The July report indicates Imperial County had the highest unemploy7ment in California.
