Imperial County Farm Bureau's Annual Dinner).....The 2026 Annual Dinner was held Thursday.

It is a celebration of agriculture. This year's event was held at the Swiss Club in Holtville. The Dinner is an opportunity for Farm Bureau members to get together and discuss agriculture. The event is also to present two prestigious honors; The Jim Kuhn Memorial Memorial Farmer of the Year award, and the Betty Young Memorial Friend of the Farmer Award. The 2026 Farmer of the Year Award went to Ronald C. Leimgruber Leimgruber has Farmed in Imperial County for four decades. The Holtville native was recognized for his dedication to Imperial Valley Agriculture, innovation, conservation and agricultural leadershiip. The 2026 Friend of the Farmers recognition went to Doctor Ali Montazar. Dr. Montazar serves as the University of California Cooperative Extension Irrigation and waterr management Advisor for Imperial and Riverside Counties.
