More than 262 pounds of cocaine were seized at the San Ysidro Port of Entry last week.
The cocaine, valued at an estimated $5 million, was found inside a commercial passenger bus. A nonintrusive inspection of the bus detected anomalies in the gas tank. A CBP canine team also alerted to the bus. An examination of the gas tank showed signs of tampering. Concealed in the gas tank was 110 packages of cocaine weighing 262 pounds. The bus driver faces prosecution for the importation of narcotics.
