Calexico is creating an Altar)....It is for Dia de los Muertos.

They are asking residents to honor the memory of a loved one. They are asking community members to provide a framed photo of a loved one who has passed and join in creating a Community Altar honoring those who remain forever in our hearts. The framed photos should be dropped of Tuesday October 13 from 11:30 am to 7 pm. The drop off is the Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts center. A maximum of two framed photos per family. Families can pick up their photos on Monday November 9 from 11:30 am to 8 pm at the Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center. The Community Altar Opening Night will be Tuesday, October 27. The Altar will remain on display at the Cultural Arts Center through November 9th.
