Heavy rains and flash flooding hit the eastern edge of Imperial County late Tuesday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Ogilby Road is closed at State Route 78 to Interstate 8 due to flooding. And several roads in the Winterhaven area are closed due to flooding. A number of homes are also reported to be flooded due to the heavy rains that hit along the Colorado River valley.
