(A tour and discussion on the New River)....It was held this week in Calexico.

Officials toured the polluted river. Following the tour, they participated in a public meeting in the Calexico City Council Chamber. The contingent was led by the Regional Administrator of the US Environmental Agency Region 9, Mike Martucci, and Commissioner Chad McIntosh of the US Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission. Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz also participated. He said he was happy to get a commitment from Martucci and McIntosh to collaborate in finding a long term solution to the cross border pollution.
