Now that the filing deadline has passed local municipal ballots are known.

The November 3, 2026, General Election is coming up, and the ballots are set for the city council races.

In Calexico, there are 2 seats up for grabs and 7 candidates to choose from. The candidates are Blanca Morales, Camilo Garcia, Joong Kim, Carlos Fonseca, Incumbent Diana Nuricumbo, Alexis Rangel and John Anthony Canaris. 

In the City of Imperial, Robert W. Shields, Victor Lopez, James Tucker, Lisa Winkler and Sara Solorzano are on the ballot vying for three seats. 

There are two seats available on the El Centro City Council. Incumbent Sonia Carter, Armando Munoz, Michael A. Morales, Peter L. Rodriguez, Jason Jackson, Ramon Chavoya, Luis Minor and Rick Lopes will all be in the ballot.
