(Monsoon Season is here).....Imperial Irrigation District reminds residents to be prepared.

The IID is reminding customers to be prepared for changing weather conditions and possible storm related impacts. The Nattional Weather Service is forecasting a chance of thunderstorms and rain in the Imperial Valley, with higher chances of rain in the Coachella Valley. The District says summer storms can bring strong winds, lightening, heavy rain and localized flooding, which can result in downed power lines, damaged electrical equipment and power outages. The IID says their crews are prepared to respond to weather related incidents and restore services as safely and quickly as possible.
