(The General Election is November 3rd)... The current candidate filing period is underway.

The filing period will end August 7th. If you are thinking about running in the November 3rd General Election, the filing period ends this week. If an incumbent officeholder does not file nomination documents by the August 7th deadline, the nomination period for that office will be extended until 5 pm Wednesday August 12 for all eligible candidates except the incumbent. Ballets include several school and special districts, as well as city council seats in Brawley, Calexico, Calipatria, El Centro, Holtville, Imperial or Westmorland. Perspective candidates for City Council's should contact their respective City Clerk's office for filing procedures.
