Interested individuals can take out nomination documents now. The filing closes at 5 pm August 7. If an Incumbent does not file by the deadline the nomination period for that office will extend to 5 pm August 12. There will be several offices on the ballot, including Board of Supervisors district 1 and 2, City Council seats in Brawley, Calexico, Calipatria, El Centro, Holtville, Imperial, Westmorland and City Clerk for the City of Imperial. There will also be various school and special districts on the ballot.
