Sebastian Rucci, the developer behind the planned data center near Imperial is suing several local activists. The Civil Defamation lawsuit was filed in April against Jake Tison with Mt. Signa Media, Jose Luis Olmeda Velez, the executive Director of Comite Civico del Vale, and Comite Civico del Valle. Rucci and his company, Imperial Valley Computer Manufacturing allege false and defamatory statements were made. The lawsuit also alleges harassment. The hearing was scheduled to begin July 16th.
