(Calexico City Council takes action)...While other cities are discussing moratoriums or adjusting regulations.

The Calexico City Council took action on Data Centers. At their meeting Wednesday the Council voted unanimously to direct staff to develop an ordinance that would ban Data centers within the city limits. The City attorney had asked staff be directed to prepare an emergency interim ordinance establishing a moratorium on Data Centers to study related issues more in depth. The council went a step further and asked for an ordinance banning the data centers.
