An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for the Imperial Valley.

It's summer in the desert and temperatures have begun to climb. The National Weather Service (NWS) says the Extreme Heat Warning will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday through 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Dangerously hot conditions with afternoon highs up to 115 degrees. You are urged to take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. The National Weather Service says that drying conditions and a regional increase in winds late in the week will cause temperatures to drop back to near seasonal normals.
