(72 Fire update)...The fire is in Riverside County, just north of Imperial County.

Traffic, both northbound and southbound on Highway 86 was affected. The California Highway Patrol was monitoring the traffic The fire started Sunday afternoon. The latest update says the fire is 50% contained. There is no report of structural damage or injuries as a result of th fire. The cause is under investigation. Officials estimate total containment very soon.
