Expect some changes at the Calexico Ports of Entry.

Beginning June 15, 2026, bicycles, electric bikes, scooters, electric scooters and similar modes of transportation not authorized for use on public roadways will not be permitted to enter the U.S. through vehicle inspection lanes. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the new safety measures this week. According to CBP, the change is being implemented to enhance safety for both travelers and CBP personnel and to reduce accidents in the vehicle inspection lanes. Travelers using any of these devices will still be able to cross through pedestrian processing areas.
