They will be presented or introduced to the adoptable pet of the month. They will present a certificate of recognition to the Southwest High School HOSA Chapter and students for their 2026 Cal-HOSA State Leadership Conference achievements and awards, and the Board will be asked to adopt a proclamation declaring the month of May 2026 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The Supervisors will go into closed session for a conference with Legal Counsel on existing and anticipated litigation. Another conference will be with the Labor negotiator. On the action agenda the County Executive Officer will present a find that the ordinance is not subject to CEQA and why. They will discuss the Public Benefit Program Grant for the County Veterinarian Recruitment and Retention Program.
