The El Centro City Council will meet Tuesday.
It's considered a Special Meeting and will get underway at 8:30 a.m. with a closed session agenda. Most of the closed session will deal with labor negotiators and various city employee unions and bargaining units. Council will also meet with legal counsel about anticipated litigation.
Open session is scheduled to start at noon. Agenda items include a purchase agreement for a new Fire engine at a cost of $1.1 million. Council will also look at a $2.240 million contract for construction of the Jacaranda Gardens Project. The funds will come from a Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Grant.
A grant from the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District will pay for an Alleyway Paving Project. The cost is estimated at $3.5 million.
A $3.2 million contract for city street overlay and slurry sealing.
