(Salton Sea Authority hosting a new round of community meetings)... The meetings will focus on Imperial Streams and Salton Sea Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study.
The study is a joint effort between the Salton Sea Authority, California Department of Water Resources and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. It is a critical pathway toward significant federal investment in the long term restoration of the Sea. There will be two in-person sessions. The first, Wednesday April 29 at the North Shore Yacht Club in Mecca. The second session will be Thursday April 30th at the Brawley Teen Center at 200 Magnolia Street in Brawley. Both sessions will run from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Spanish interpretation, refreshments and sandwiches will be provided at both sessions.
