(National Linement Appreciation Day)....It was held this past weekend.

The Imperial Irrigation District recognized the special day. It was to honor the highly skilled lineworkers who perform some of the most demanding and dangerous work to keep the light on across the Imperial County and Coachella Valley.. The IID says more than 80 lineman and power troubleshooters stand reay 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, climbing poles, repairing energized line, and responding at a moments notice to outages and emergncies, to serve more than 166,000 customer accounts.
