(A Statewide investigation revealed). California Attorney General announced the investigation.
Attorney General Rob Bonta said at least 8 people had been charged in what prosecutors call a $261 million Medi-Cal Hospice fraud. It was later revealed Levon Darakchyan had been served a warrant and arrested in El Centro. He is the Chief Financial Officer of Trusted Care Home Health in El Centro. At the time, investigator said it was an out of county warrant. Trusted Care Home Health of Imperial Valley has now issued a statement through their attorney. They confirmed the arrest, but stressed it was issued as a result of suspected wrongdoing in the Los Angeles area. They stressed Trusted Care was a local business that only served Imperial Valley residents, and they are not and have never been connected to any other business outside the Imperial Valley. Information released indicated Trusted Care was not suspected on any wrongdoing.
